PURSUING OFFICIAL RECOGNITION AS A SPORT

Today is a significant milestone in the history of scooter riding as a sport! The International Scooter Federation (ISF) has officially contacted the Global Association of International Sports Federations (GAISF) in order to start a formal process of becoming a federation member.

This latest development is to ensure the sport continues its incredible global impact by seeking official recognition and pushing for scooter athletes to be included in the Olympics Games.

Already the achievement of the sports growth is phenomenal. Scooters have become the most popular wheeled sport in skateparks across the globe and a gateway into sport for millions of young people. It was only a decade ago when many thought scooters were just a fad. Yet today, scooter riding is an accepted sport among the action and youth sport communities.

Scooter riding continues to grow at an incredible rate and this latest development by the ISF is to help ensure scooter riding reaches its potential, and benefits millions of young people worldwide.
