As the sport has matured and grown in popularity, it has become more and more apparent that scooter riding is playing a significant role in the development of young athletes. Scooter riding is very accessible from a very young age and provides an introduction into sport for millions.
Additionally, it is common for scooter riders to go onto participate in other sports too. For example, BMX has witnessed a number of top riders who started on a scooter and transitioned into BMX. The astonishing career of action sports superstar, Ryan Williams (3 times X-Games BMX World Champion), Jeremy Malott (Bronze X-Games) and most recently, Charlotte Worthington (Olympic gold medallist).
